According to WWD's Jeff Bercovici, Annie Leibovitz has this "thing" against "inspiring" her fellow photographers. She even went so far as to take Paramount Pictures to court in 1994 (here) over what she deemed a copyright infringement. She lost.
Now. Who would win here?

Leibovitz' photograph is only one of the most iconic images of the 20th century, having been created mere hours before John Lennon was gunned down by that monster one cold December night.
Where does that leave Vance?
